Participants will experience:
Participants will partner with a horse, become part of a herd, and ease into a natural way of being. Alongside horses, we are held in a safe, nonjudgmental space. During horse-supported exercises, we can drop expectations, assumptions, judgments and learn to listen in a new way. This place of solace, confidentiality, and respite nurtures our capacity to regroup and heal.
No horse experience necessary.
Supporting the Courageous is a 3-day equine-supported retreat for health care managers and administrators. The COVID pandemic has turned systems upside down and inside out, urgently calling for health care organizations to address the burnout of their doctors and nurses.
Spearheaded by the Dr. Lorna Breen Foundation, a group of experts in collaboration with the National Academy of Medicine identified the top five actions leaders should take to support team members now. These evidence-based actions will build a new foundation for a long-term system well-being strategy.
